El Periplo Sustentable is the official specialized journal of the Tourism and Gastronomy Faculty of the Mexico State Autonomous University and the Research Center of Tourism Studies (Centro de Investigación de Estudios Turísticos CIETUR). This is a scientific journal specialized in Tourism and Sustainability Research, as well as topics of the interest of the CIETUR which include: sociocultural and economic - administrative tourism studies, education, gastronomy, food technology and enviromental tourism studies published biannually. The magazine approaches researchers, teachers and students interested in these studies. The main objective of the magazine is to spread the research progress, which allows the growth of this area studies and can go beyond the academic field in order to benefit the receptive communities and the tourist itself.
